Aluminum Radiator Overflow Tank – V1 (Fits Most Downflow Radiators in Classic Z Cars)

We’re proud to introduce our custom Aluminum Overflow Tank (V1), engineered to fit inside the mounting rib of most downflow-style aluminum radiators commonly used in classic Nissan/Datsun Z cars.

This tank was designed specifically for the Mishimoto MMRAD-DATS-70 radiator, though it may fit other models. Please verify fitment by measuring the center-to-center spacing on your radiator mounting points.

Product Overview – V1 Design

The V1 Overflow Tank is our standard configuration:

• Standard billet aluminum cap

• Two bottom-facing ports:

  • Port 1: Connects to the radiator cap overflow nipple

  • Port 2: Includes an internal stand tube for maximum fill level and venting

• Designed for left-hand (LH) side mounting only

• Clean, hidden hose routing with both ports tucked beneath the tank

Specifications:

• Material: TIG-welded 6061 aluminum

• Capacity: 0.6L / 0.64 qt

• Ports: 2x 1/8” NPT female ports (bottom-facing)

• Mounting Hardware: Includes 2x M6x1.0 hex head screws

  • Note: Longer screws may be needed if you’re using a fan shroud

• Tank Dimensions: 2″ x 2″ x 14.5″

• Mounting Bolt Spacing: 7-7/8″ (200mm center-to-center)
