Here at Straightboost® Performance we always look forward to releasing exciting and new products for the Automotive Performance community.
We are proud to announce the release of our Custom made aluminum intercooler for the Datsun 240z, 260z and 280z models.
This is the largest intercooler that fits inside of the Datsun S30Z cars without any interference issues of the hood hinge. We have experienced a lot of issues from this in the past and have decided to make an intercooler that will not be in the way of the hood hinge mechanism and will outperform any other China made intercooler out there.
We use a high quality brand name core (Garrett, CSF Race, Vibrant Performance) and laser cut the end tanks out of 3/16″ thick (0.187″ or 4.7mm) grade 5052 Aluminum alloy to ensure everything fits just right. After the cutting is done we TIG weld the end tanks inside and outside to prevent failures in the future. At this time we are one of the only fabrication shops that weld the intercooler end tanks inside and outside.
We also offer various thickness options from 3.0″ to 4.5″ cores are available (select from the drop down menu).

- Precision Laser cut 5052 aluminum sheet metal end tanks (4.7mm / 3/16″ thick)
- Professionally TIG welded inside and outside.

- Billet aluminum M8x1.25 mounting points (two on the top and two on the bottom)
