Straightboost Performance Wideband Knock Sensor Kit

The Straightboost Performance wideband knock sensor kit is engineered to integrate seamlessly with the advanced knock detection circuitry found in modern ECUs such as FuelTech, ECUMaster EMU, Link, Haltech, Microtech, DTA Fast, Megasquirt, and many others.

Unlike traditional narrowband OEM sensors—which are tuned to detect knock only within a narrow frequency range—our kit features a flat-response (wideband) knock sensor. These modern sensors offer a full-spectrum response, enabling your ECU to differentiate actual knock from background engine noise with much greater accuracy.

When paired with today’s sophisticated ECUs, wideband sensors allow for:

• Full-range signal processing to isolate true knock events

• Crank-angle based filtering, enabling the ECU to monitor knock only during critical engine phases

• Higher sensitivity and faster response, giving tuners more precise control

• Enhanced engine protection strategies, activating instantly when knock is detected

This results in maximum power output with greater safety margins, giving tuners and engine builders the confidence to push performance boundaries without compromising reliability.
